The Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) program, a Mastercard Foundation initiative led by DOT Rwanda, equips over 10,000 young Rwandans with the digital and entrepreneurial skills to secure dignified livelihoods in the digital economy.

Launched in October 2024, the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) program addresses Rwanda's pressing youth unemployment challenge — where 35.6% of young people (16–30) are not in employment, education, or training (NEET), with young women disproportionately affected at 41%. DSE targets young women, rural youth, refugees, and persons with disabilities through two targeted pathways.
From software development and cybersecurity to AI, cloud computing, and UI/UX — graduates are trained in the skills Rwanda's digital economy demands most.
